Road works and temporary route delineation can cause substantial disruptions.
These disruptions can be dramatically reduced if the temporary markings used in such projects are highly durable, whilst also being simple to apply and easy to remove. Unfortunately such markings are not common-place.
Traditional materials used in temporary situations have associated problems such as drying/curing process resulting in lengthy and costly road closures need for very high temperatures posing a danger to operatives requirement for large machinery, impacting on the environment difficult and costly removal process which damage the roads surface.
